After an inspiring FEZA Conference held in the July 2021 virtually, all eyes are now directed towards Portorož-Portorose, Slovenia. We are looking forward to welcoming you in person at the 9th Conference of the Federation of the European Zeolite Associations to take place on 2 – 6 July 2023 at Portorož-Portorose, Slovenia.

We are happy to announce the newly launched call for abstracts under the conference main theme “Porous materials for a Green future”.

EFCATS Summer School 2020

It is with great pleasure to invite you to attend the 2020Summer School of the European Federation of Catalysis Societies (EFCATS),https://skd2020.chem-soc.si/en/2020-efcats-summer-school/, which will beheld from 15-19 September 2020 in Grand Hotel Bernardin Convention Center in Portorož-Portorose, Slovenia. The event entitled “Engineering Materials for Catalysis” is organized jointly by the Section for Catalysis of the Slovenian Chemical Society and the Austrian Catalysis Society.

The 2020 EFCATS Summer School will focus on recent advances regarding synthesis, in-situ and operando characterization and applications of heterogeneous catalysts as well as multi-scale modelling of catalytic processes. Besides, the publication system and less competitive free discussions will be addressed at the meeting.

Master and doctoral students as well as early-stage researchers being involved in the above-mentioned topics are strongly encouraged to attend the event. Ten worldwide known experts will deliver invited lectures. The participants will be able to present the results of their research work in the form of oral presentations or poster contributions. A half-day tour to the ELETTRA synchrotron in Trieste, Italy, will be organized as part of the 2020 EFCATS Summer School.

The invited lecturers (confirmed) will be Prof. Dr. Bao Lian Su (University of Namur, Belgium), Dr. Svetlana Mintova (ENSICAEN-University of Caen-CNRS, France), Prof. Dr. Bert Weckhuysen (Utrecht University, The Netherlands), Dr. Giulliana Aquilanti (Synchrotron ELETTRA, Italy), Dr. Alexander Genest (Institute of High Performance Computing, Singapore), Assist. Prof. Dr. Blaž Likozar (National Institute of Chemistry and University of Ljubljana, Slovenia), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Joaqim Luis Faria (University of Porto, Portugal)  and Dr. Nikolai Nesterenko (TOTAL, Belgium). Please note that the list of invited speakers remains to be completed.

FEZA 2023
Conference will be held in Portorož

At the meeting in Belgrade on the 5th of October 2019, FEZA Board selected the venue for the 9th FEZA Conference, which will be held in July 2023 in Portorož, Slovenia. The Conference will be jointly organized by the Slovenian, Croatian and Serbian Zeolite Associations.


 

FEZA 2020 postponed to FEZA 2021

Following the recent developments in the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation the congress will now take place from 4 – 7 July 2021 remaining at The Brighton Centre and we will automatically be moving the current programme over to the new July 2021 schedule and hope that you are available to attend at this time.

The British Zeolite Association together with the RSC Porous Materials Interest Group is organizing next year’s FEZA conference. On behalf of the local organising committee we would like to invite you to join us for FEZA2021.

Submissions for both oral and poster presentations are encouraged in all areas of porous materials science, including; Zeolites, Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), Porous Polymers, Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs), Porous Carbons, Porous Silicas, Porous Organic Cages, AlPOs and other Zeotypes

Topics of interest include: Development of new synthetic methods and post-synthetic modification, physical properties and defects, advanced characterization, stimuli responsive behaviour, catalytic properties, gas adsorption and separation, biomedical and ion-exchange applications, industry discussions and computational prediction, verification and screening.

Abstract submission will now open 2 November 2020.

The 8th Serbian-Croatian-Slovenian symposium on zeolites

This symposium is dedicated to zeolites and related materials and will gather colleagues (researchers and industry practitioners) from Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. „Zeolite people” from Europe and the world are welcome!

4th Euro Asia Zeolite Congress (4th EAZC)
January 27  – 30, 2019, Taormina (ME), Italy

The 4th EAZC is the next event of a successful series: 1st EAZC – Macau (2013),  2nd EAZC – Nice (2015) and 3rd EAZC – Bali (2017). This series of congress in the field of zeolites and other ordered porous materials will be organized alternatively in Asia and Europe on a biannual basis. To be efficient and avoid interference with the existing congress, the EAZC will be limited to 250 participants. Thus far, prominent scientists have confirmed their attendances and there will be more speakers to be announced.
